ThIS™ SoundBaths are unique concert/meditation events that create a “sonic bath” or “field of sacred sound”. You are encouraged to experience this as a “horizontal concert”, lying on blankets or yoga mats and allowing the other-worldly sounds to guide you into deep contemplative states suitable for healing, relaxation, and excursions of the imagination.

Peter Blum and Naaz Hosseini have presented these events at yoga studios, meditation halls, and performance spaces over the past 25 years, often teaming with like-minded creative musicians such as David Budd, Thomas Workman, Evry Mann, and world-renowned bansuri flute player, Steve Gorn.

When Peter Blum and Naaz Hosseini started performing their sonic meditation events 25 years ago, the concept along with terms like “sound bath”, “gong bath”, or “singing bowl bath” was not well known. Now, it has become a fairly popular activity for the spiritual, or new age community.

Peter and Naaz have presented hundreds of such events at yoga studios and meditation halls as well as house concerts. Recently, they have often been joined by fellow musicians and sound wizards Thomas Workman and Ev Mann and world-renowned bansuri flute player, Steve Gorn. This 21st century version of the sound bath has evolved and draws from diverse influences, including the free jazz improvisations of the 60’s, experimental and “new” music of the 70’s, and the emergence of “world music” in the 80’s and 90’s, along with global traditions of sonic meditations.

The intention of these unique concert/meditation events is to create a “sonic bath” or “field of sacred sound”.
