Understanding and Working with Concussion 4/8

Naaz Hosseini, LP

Workshop for therapists working with clients experiencing post-concussion syndrome.

We are more aware of concussions today, yet there is little understanding of the needs and experience of those individuals with concussion, whether ourselves, our relatives, or our children.

Using a Gestalt approach, this workshop will help you understand:

1) what concussion is;

2) how concussion is experienced;

3) how to work with concussion;

4) how to balance your interventions so that post-concussion symptoms are eased, not aggravated; and

5) where to refer clients for basic, appropriate concussion care.

This is both a didactic and experiential workshop.  Exercises will guide understanding concussion and how to work with it.
