SoundBath with Peter Blum, Naaz Hosseini, Ev Mann is a unique concert/meditation event that creates a “sonic bath” or “field of sacred sound”. You are encouraged to experience this horizontally – lying on blankets or yoga mats and allowing the other-worldly sounds to guide you into deep contemplative states suitable for healing, relaxation, and excursions of the imagination. Seating is available, if you prefer.

Naaz and Peter have been presenting meditative sound concerts for nearly two decades, and have recorded two CD’s together – “Pulse Field” in 2002 and “Singing Bowls and One” in 2004. Peter is known for his work with sacred singing metals. Performances feature his collection of over 30 Himalayan singing bowls, large gongs, tingshas, Sabian singing bells, as well as tamboura, flutes, Moyo drum and hand percussion. Joined by Naaz’s exquisite vocals and violin music, their sounds are ideally complemented by the subtle rhythms of master percussionist, Ev Mann.

Naaz Hosseini is a master vocalist, violinist, dancer, composer, psychotherapist, and voice empowerment coach. As a multidisciplinary performer she has appeared world-wide with the Meredith Monk Vocal Ensemble, Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, and the Laura Dean Dancers and Musicians at venues including Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Tokyo University, Walker Art Center, and the Steirischer Herbst Festival. As composer/performer, she collaborated with Pilobolus, the National Theatre of the Deaf, and Bridgman/Packer Dance.

Evry Mann is a percussionist and theologian based in NYC and Ulster County. Ev is the founder of the Center for Creative Education (www.cce4me.org) and Marbletown Multi-Arts (www.cometomama.org) and has performed widely with the Harmonic Choir, Chakra City, OmU, Atras del Cosmos and Levanta among others.
